Abstract: "Material chemistry" is a course offered by the majors of materials, chemistry and chemical engineering in Colleges and universities. It is the basis of the research and development of new materials and the inevitable requirement of the cross development of chemical engineering, material science and technology. With the rapid development of the construction of "new engineering", the country urgently needs to cultivate a large number of compound professionals who can face the future layout and better adapt to the development of new economy. Under the background of "new engineering", the reform of talent training mode has attracted more and more attention of the society, which is a new challenge to the concept of talent training and curriculum teaching mode of new engineering. Based on the needs of national strategic development, the new situation of international competition, and the new direction of engineering education reform proposed by leader, combined with the requirements of the new situation such as the integration of industry and education, the integration of science and education, the cooperation of industry, education and research, this paper discusses the curriculum reform of material chemistry, and puts forward countermeasures and suggestions.

Key words: Material chemistry, Curriculum reform, Industry education integration, Science education integration, Industry university research cooperation
