Abstract: With the development of the times and the progress of the society, the educational system of our country is constantly improving, and the demand of the society for talents is also gradually improving. This paper expounds the thinking and practice of the new education "STEM education" in the middle school mathematics teaching under such a background, combines the actual situation of the current middle school mathematics teaching, and summarizes the importance of STEM education in the cultivation of students' ability and its positive influence in teaching.
