Exploration of the Ways to Cultivate Middle School Students' English Reading Ability Based on Mind Map

Abstract: The teaching objectives and emphases of each reading stage are different. In English teaching, mind map is applied to every reading link to improve students' reading ability and efficiency. Based on this, this paper takes the benevolent edition of junior middle school English reading class as an example, applies mind map to three aspects: before reading, during reading and after reading, and through the combination of diversified innovative mind map teaching mode, in order to enable students to participate in the teaching of English reading more actively, so as to provide new opportunities for the overall development of junior middle school students.
