Abstract: In the process of the rapid development of social economy, the urbanization process is also accelerated. The requirements for municipal engineering are higher and higher, and the quality of municipal engineering needs to be improved. As for the higher vocational colleges which train the talents of municipal engineering, in the face of the development background of the new era, it is necessary to carry out innovation and entrepreneurship education for municipal engineering technology and reform the traditional education mode. Based on the research status, level and development trend at home and abroad, this study constructs the innovation and entrepreneurship education mode of municipal engineering technology major in higher vocational education, in order to cultivate professional municipal engineering and technical talents to meet the needs of social development, and further promote the construction and development of the city.
