Abstract: With the rapid development of society and economy, people's living standards are constantly improving, and the society is paying more and more attention to college students. In the context of rejuvenating the country through science and education and the development of the talent strategy, the state invests a large amount of funds every year to help difficult college students complete their studies, striving to achieve educational equity and social harmony. At present, subsidizing poor students to study has become an important part of university work. Accurate positioning of students in extreme poverty is the basis and premise of accurate financial aid, and is the focus and difficulty of poverty alleviation in universities and colleges. Taking the important role of precise funding as the starting point, this paper discusses in detail the problems existing in the current precise funding work, and proposes to accurately identify the students with the help of modern technology such as big data and the Internet, so as to add help to the work of locating the students with extreme poverty in colleges and universities.
