Abstract: With the intensification of population aging, the country has put forward the concept of big health, which has promoted the expansion of the health industry scale, continuously upgraded the industrial structure, and put forward higher requirements for talents in related industries. In order to cultivate health industry talents that meet the needs of the times, universities need to attach importance to innovative education models, cultivate applied talents, build a high-quality talent team, and promote the development of the health industry. This article starts from the perspective of Hunan's big health industry, discusses the connotation of the big health industry, analyzes the problems in talent cultivation in Hunan's big health industry, and proposes a training path for applied talents in universities under the background of population aging, aiming to improve the quality of education in health related majors and provide reference for the subsequent cultivation of applied talents.
