Teaching Reform of Virtual Simulation Technology in Lost Foam Casting in Metalworking Practice

摘要: 目前,实践类课程已成为工科专业的重要课程,其中铸造实习课程是金工实习课程的重要组成部分,然而,在现有的铸造实习教学中,存在教学成本高、学生接受性不强等问题。为使铸造教学课程实现现代化与数字化,降低能源消耗,减少教学使用时不必要的浪费,可以借助虚拟现实技术,即使用Unity3D引擎,配合专业铸造软件(ProCAST),开发一套虚拟铸造教学系统,以虚拟仿真教学与实际教学相结合的模式开展,并通过问卷调查的形式反映教学改革情况。问卷调查结果显示,超过90%的学生对该教学形式持赞同态度,经过课堂模拟,学生的学习效率和积极性显著提高,对绿色铸造与高校铸造教学研究具有借鉴意义。

Abstract: At present, practical courses have become important courses for engineering majors, among which casting practice course is an important part of metalworking practice course. However, in the existing casting practice teaching, there are some problems, such as high teaching cost and poor acceptance of students. In order to modernize and digitize the casting teaching course, reduce energy consumption and unnecessary waste in teaching, we can develop a set of virtual casting teaching system with the help of virtual reality technology, that is, Unity3D engine and professional casting software (ProCAST), and carry it out in the mode of combining virtual simulation teaching with actual teaching. The results of the questionnaire show that more than 90% of the students agree with this teaching method. After classroom simulation, the learning efficiency and enthusiasm of the students are significantly improved. This research has reference significance for green casting and casting teaching research in colleges and universities.
