Abstract: College literature education is of great significance. It is an important way for students to learn traditional culture and excellent works. It can enhance cultural heritage. In the new era, college literature education should also innovate teaching mode and step into a new stage. On the one hand, using new media to innovate college literature education mode can promote the dissemination of classical literature works, enhance literary literacy and promote the overall development of students. On the other hand, innovative university literature education can deepen students' understanding of traditional Chinese literature, promote students' inheritance of classical literature and understanding of popular literature. Therefore, in view of the significance of college literature education to the improvement of college students' literary literacy and cultural inheritance, it is necessary to innovate the way of college literature education under the new media perspective, so as to better demonstrate the educational value of literature.
