Abstract: The course of automatic control principles, as a compulsory foundational course for multiple majors, has the characteristics of interdisciplinary, complex content, strong theoretical basis, and high practical requirements. Traditional theoretical lectures can no longer meet the requirements of new engineering disciplines. The course team focuses on the modeling, analysis, and design of the control system for intelligent vehicles as the main teaching thread. With the support of the smart teaching platform, the teaching content is reconstructed, and a three-dimensional learning framework is established to complete the transition from learning system to system learning. This helps students form a systematic learning mindset and innovate teaching design; establishing a two-way and three-dimensional teaching structure mainly based on PBL teaching method, and exercising students'ability to cooperate independently through group learning, a series of innovative teaching measures have achieved some results in improving teaching quality, student quality and ability cultivation, etc., which has played a promoting role in achieving the professional talent training goals under the background of new engineering construction.
