Abstract: Against the backdrop of new liberal arts construction, the teaching of econometrics in local application-oriented undergraduate universities faces challenges such as students'weak mathematical and statistical foundations, disconnection between theory and practice, and insufficient understanding of core concepts. This paper explores the teaching reform path driven by scientific research projects, proposing a main line of“real-world problem orientation - practical ability cultivation - ideological and political value infiltration”. By embedding scientific research projects into the full cycle of“pre-learning, during-learning, post-learning”, this approach aims to stimulate students'learning interest, anchor the cognition of core concepts, promote the integration of theory and practice, and provide a feasible paradigm of“teaching nourished by research”for curriculum reform in economics and management disciplines under the new liberal arts framework.
