Abstract: With the continuous deepening of cooperation between China and ASEAN countries in foreign-related fields such as economic and trade exchanges, cross-border security governance, judicial exchanges, and legal personnel training, the bridging role of ASEAN languages and laws has become increasingly significant, and the demand for composite talents who are proficient in ASEAN languages and have legal professional knowledge is growing. This article focuses on the construction of new liberal arts, deeply explores the current situation, necessity, and feasibility of reform in the teaching of translation courses for“ASEAN languages + law”, and proposes targeted reform strategies, in order to provide useful references for the reform of translation teaching for such courses.
