Analysis of the Role of Social Practice in Enhancing the Employability of College Students

Abstract: Social practice is an important form for universities to provide students with quality education, cultivate their innovative spirit and practical ability. This article is based on 51 activity reports of medical students who have participated in social practice as a qualitative research sample. The study found that the factors influencing the employment ability of college students through social practice are composed of four dimensions: employment development ability, social coping ability, employment personality tendency, and professional employment ability. Among them, employment development ability is the core element, professional employment ability is the basic factor, social adaptation ability is the directly controllable factor, and employment personality tendency is the stable and uncontrollable factor. The research results indicate that social practice is an inevitable way to enhance the employability of college students. Universities should attach great importance to social practice and provide a reasonable path for college students to participate in high-quality social practice and achieve more ideal career development.
