Abstract: Under the framework of emerging engineering education, the reform of environmental geoscience education is of paramount importance. This paper delves into the crucial role of environmental geoscience in engineering education and identifies issues with conventional teaching methods. Traditional environmental science teaching faces problems such as overemphasizing theory, lagging in new technology teaching, insufficient interdisciplinarity, and inadequate resource sharing. Aiming at the whole, the whole name, education, and future, this paper proposes educational reform measures based on the new engineering concept. These measures include emphasizing practical teaching, promoting interdisciplinary cooperation, carrying out innovative and entrepreneurial activities, with the aim of cultivating environmental geoscience talents with an innovative spirit and critical thinking.
