Abstract: Under the innovation-driven development strategy, universities play a vital role in fostering innovative talent through the construction of effective intelligent innovation education systems. This study takes the Innovation Training Center at China University of Mining and Technology as a case to examine the synergistic development of intelligent innovation spaces and educational models. The research demonstrates that by integrating advanced equipment such as CNC machines and 3D printers, and creating one-stop innovation communities like“tool libraries”and“consumables supermarkets”supported by a hybrid online-offline management model, resource allocation for practical innovation can be significantly enhanced. Furthermore, the establishment of a tiered curriculum system (foundation-specialization-practice), the implementation of project-based teaching approaches, and the adoption of a combined formative-summative evaluation mechanism effectively foster students’innovative thinking, practical competence, and collaborative abilities. This paper provides a theoretical and practical reference for the development of university-based innovation platforms and the reform of talent cultivation models, offering valuable insights for advancing innovation in higher engineering education.
