Research on the Practical Teaching System of Urban and Rural Planning Major Based on CDIO Concept

Abstract: The CDIO philosophy emphasizes the integration of the four stages of conception, design, implementation, and operation, which is highly compatible with the comprehensive, practical, and innovative needs of practical teaching in urban and rural planning. This article analyzes the current situation of practical teaching in urban and rural planning majors, points out the limitations of traditional practical teaching models, and proposes practical teaching reform strategies based on the CDIO concept. The reform includes optimizing the curriculum system, innovating teaching methods, and building practical teaching platforms, aiming to enhance students'practical abilities, innovative thinking, and teamwork skills. At the same time, in order to ensure the smooth progress of the reform, measures have been proposed to strengthen the construction of the teaching staff, improve teaching management and quality monitoring mechanisms, and establish performance evaluation indicators and methods.
