Abstract: Graduation design, as the final comprehensive practice session in the undergraduate stage, is crucial for achieving talent training objectives. The joint graduation design practice, as a new model emerging in graduation design teaching, has gradually been recognized by design academies and majors but there are problems in teaching organization, communication links, teaching orientation, outcome evaluation, and dissemination effects. To address the aforementioned issues, in the context of the construction of new liberal arts disciplines, this paper aims to sort out the problems encountered in the current joint graduation design practices of environmental design majors and propose corresponding optimization strategies for these issues, providing reference for the reform of practical teaching in graduation design for environmental design majors.
