Abstract: Against the backdrop of the rapid advancement of the digital-intelligent economy, the foundry industry is undergoing a transformative shift from digitalization to intelligentization, which urgently calls for a restructuring of the labor education system in higher education. Drawing upon the theoretical framework of digital-intelligent technology-enabled education, this study examines the significance and current challenges of labor education for foundry engineering students in the digital-intelligent era. Under the guidance of the“three-wide education”principle and the“five-education integration”philosophy, it proposes practical pathways for transforming the paradigm of labor education in foundry engineering, addressing key aspects including educational stakeholders, learning environments, and pedagogical models in the context of digital-intelligent technologies.
