Analysis and Reform Research on the Current Situation of Biochemistry Teaching in Colleges and Universities

Abstract: Biochemistry, as a fundamental and compulsory course for biology majors in universities, involves a wide range of content, complexity, abstract concepts, and strong theoretical basis. The knowledge points are not easy to master. In the current context of deepening teaching reform concepts, the reform of biochemistry teaching in universities should be put on the agenda. This article briefly elaborates on the characteristics of biochemistry courses in universities and the necessity of teaching reform. Based on this, the current situation of biochemistry teaching is analyzed, and strategies for reforming biochemistry teaching in universities are proposed. It is expected to improve students'learning effectiveness and satisfaction, provide useful thinking and practical suggestions for optimizing and innovating biochemistry teaching in Chinese universities, and lay a solid foundation for cultivating more biochemistry professionals with both innovative and practical abilities.
