Abstract: The rapid development of modern society has put forward higher requirements for the innovative practical ability of graduate students in the field of energy. However, the traditional graduate training model generally has problems such as emphasizing theory over practice. This article takes the construction of a demonstration course on biomass energy conversion and utilization as an example, focusing on thinking and exploring from the aspects of teaching content, teaching methods and modes, and assessment and evaluation system. Based on teaching practice experience, it proposes a reform plan and suggestions to selectively introduce the latest research results and cutting-edge theories in course design, introduce ideological and political elements in course content, introduce innovative teaching methods such as project driven teaching, cooperative learning, personalized teaching, one-on-one guidance and discussion in teaching methods, and adopt diversified assessment and evaluation methods in assessment and evaluation to comprehensively improve teaching effectiveness and focus on cultivating graduate students' innovative practical abilities.
