Abstract: Against the backdrop of the national“dual carbon”major strategic goal, the traditional talent cultivation model for mining engineering lags behind the country's demand for green, low-carbon, and environmental protection in the coal industry. It is urgent to reform the model for talent cultivation in mining engineering. This article deeply analyzes the main problems in the traditional talent cultivation of mining engineering under the“dual carbon”goal, explores the significance of interdisciplinary integration talent cultivation in mining engineering, and establishes a new model for cultivating composite high-quality talents in mining engineering with the core of enhancing students'professional identity, establishing interdisciplinary thinking concepts, constructing interdisciplinary curriculum systems, strengthening practical experimental innovation capabilities, and innovative school enterprise joint training mechanisms, to help achieve“dual carbon”goal.
