Exploration and Practice in Building Postdoctoral Talent Teams in Emerging Interdisciplinary Fields

Abstract: The postdoctoral system is a crucial pathway for cultivating high-level innovative talents and plays a significant role in promoting the country's innovation-driven development. University of Science and Technology Beijing (USTB) attaches great importance to the construction of its postdoctoral talent team, adhering to the principle of prioritizing talent, improving systems, optimizing management, and focusing on strengthening the cultivation of postdoctoral talents in emerging interdisciplinary fields. At the same time, USTB actively innovates in the recruitment, cultivation, and utilization of postdoctoral talents, bridging the gap between industry, academia, research, and application. Centering around major national needs and frontier fields, it has cultivated a group of high-level young scientific and technological talents as well as leading figures. This article will systematically analyze the practices in the construction of postdoctoral talent teams in emerging interdisciplinary fields, aiming to provide references for optimizing postdoctoral management and improving the cultivation system for top-notch innovative talents.
