Abstract: To cultivate innovative talents with solid theoretical foundation, excellent engineering practice ability and comprehensive quality, is the mission of engineering education in universities. Mechanical drawing, as a basic course of engineering, bears an important responsibility. PBL teaching mode is a problem-based or project-based teaching mode. It originates from the successful experience of medical education reform in the United States. It has been rapidly expanded and widely used in many fields at home and abroad, and has played a huge role in the teaching reform. The modern engineering drawing course follows the concept of PBL teaching method, takes the national first-class online course resources on MOOC online teaching platform as the auxiliary means, and advocates a new teaching mode of “inquiry learning by students as the main subject of learning”, which can effectively improve students' ability of autonomous learning, ability of solving practical engineering problems and ability of team cooperation. It will provide New Engineering innovative talents with excellent engineering-applied ability for China's engineering field.
