Abstract: Traditional Japanese language teaching in universities has drawbacks such as a lack of interest in learning Japanese among students, a single learning method, and insufficient knowledge application ability. As a new type of Japanese language teaching model, the distinctive Japanese language club has the advantages of stimulating students'interest in learning, diversifying learning methods, and cultivating students’practical application abilities. Universities can provide students with more learning resources and opportunities in the Japanese language subject by increasing funding, providing venues and facilities, and promoting the construction of teaching staff in the construction of characteristic Japanese language clubs. Therefore, by actively promoting characteristic Japanese clubs and improving the traditional Japanese language teaching in universities, students can improve their learning efficiency in the Japanese language subject.
