Study on the Influencing Factors of Academic Achievement Differences among Undergraduate Students in Local Universities in Hebei Province

Abstract: Academic achievement, a key factor to measure the quality of higher education, reflects the effect of talents training in universities. Currently, both domestic and international studies have demonstrated that undergraduate academic achievement is influenced by various factors. Therefore, based on the education production function model, this paper constructs a comprehensive model of influencing factors on academic achievement differences among undergraduate students in local universities in Hebei Province from three dimensions: students, environment, and teachers. Through collecting data and utilizing structural equation modeling, this paper aims to test the research hypotheses of the model. The results indicate that individual characteristics, learning participation, social participation, peer influence, school environment, teaching design, and teaching implementation significantly impact the academic achievement of undergraduate students in local universities in Hebei Province. This research contributes to promoting the comprehensive development of students and improving the quality of undergraduate education in local universities.
