Teaching Reform and Effectiveness Analysis of the “Digital +” Practical Teaching of Engineering Management Specialty

Abstract: The construction industry is undergoing a rapid digital transformation that requires digital engineering management talents with solid foundational knowledge and the ability to adapt to the changing needs of the industry. To meet this demand, this paper proposes a“digital+”practical teaching reform for engineering management majors, which consists of three aspects: designing teaching contents that cover the whole life cycle of projects, building a teaching platform that integrates virtual and real scenarios, and constructing a three-dimensional teaching mode of“4+1+1+1+N”. Based on the“digital+”teaching practice at South China University of Technology and the feedback from students, this practical teaching system has demonstrated its advantages in enhancing the relevance of teaching contents, improving the capabilities, and increasing the satisfaction of teaching mode.
