Exploration and Practice on the Construction of First Class College English Curriculum in Applied Undergraduate Colleges—Taking Shanxi Institute of Energy as an Example

Abstract

Abstract: Curriculum is the core element of talent cultivation, and the quality of curriculum directly determines the quality of talent cultivation. As a public basic course in universities, college English courses play a crucial role in strengthening students' foundation and future development. This article takes the construction and application of the first-class course“College English (4)”at Shanxi Institute of Energy as an example to explore the construction and practice of first-class courses in applied undergraduate colleges, in order to create a“golden course”suitable for local applied universities in college English and improve the quality of applied undergraduate teaching.
