Abstract: Objective To explore the application effect of case teaching method based on mind map fusion in clinical teaching of otolaryngology head and neck surgery. Methods From September 2020 to June 2021, 20 resident and trained doctors rotating in our hospital's otolaryngology head and neck surgery were selected as the control group, and from September 2021 to June 2022, 20 resident and trained doctors rotating in our hospital's otolaryngology head and neck surgery were selected as the observation group. The control group used traditional teaching methods, and the observation group used mind map fusion case teaching method. The clinical teaching time was 6 months. Compare the examination results, comprehensive ability and teaching satisfaction of the two groups of students. Results After teaching, the scores of theoretical knowledge, practical skills and total assessment in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group. The scores of independent learning ability, communication ability and clinical skills in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group. The satisfaction of clinical teaching in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion The integrated teaching mode based on mind mapping has significant advantages in clinical teaching of head and neck cancer, which is helpful to improve students ' assessment results and teaching satisfaction.
