Research and Practice of Virtual Time Reversal Method in Array Signal Processing Course

Abstract: The course of array signal processing is diverse and complex, and is often a compulsory course for graduate students majoring in information and communication engineering. The traditional teaching mode is mainly based on lectures, accompanied by simple simulation and validation experiments. The technology in array signal processing is changing rapidly, the traditional teaching mode leads to a lack of creativity in students' learning of the course. Therefore, this paper introduces a new technology, which combines the virtual time reversal focusing theory with the uniform linear array to show the DF antenna array signal model and its characteristics. Firstly, the uniform linear array is established as the antenna array of time reversal algorithm direction finding, and the model of array receiving signal is derived according to the established uniform linear array, and then the technology is simulated and verified with programming software. This teaching reform can provide students with new learning ideas, culture innovative thinking, and enable them to better grasp the technical points of the course.
