Exploration of Teaching Reform of Architectural Structure Selection Course in Architecture Specialty

Abstract: The course of architectural structure selection is helpful for architectural students to understand the structural principles and forms in architectural design. However, due to the lack of complete mathematical knowledge training content in the discipline training system of architecture, students have cognitive defect to structural knowledge. Therefore, this article analyzes the problems existing in the teaching of architectural structure selection from three levels: students, textbooks, and teachers. Combining the professional background and teaching objectives of architecture, it proposes relevant reform explorations to optimize the teaching content, enabling students to reasonably consider and apply relevant structural knowledge in the course and practice of architectural design.
