Abstract: Creating excellence and improving quality is the most important development strategy of the Open University at present. It is of great significance to explore the innovation of teaching management in the Open University under the guidance of this strategy. This paper first analyzes the problems existing in the current teaching management of the open university, and then puts forward the countermeasures to improve the teaching management of the open university from the aspects of strengthening the teaching operation management, improving the quality assurance system, optimizing the teaching resources and learning support services, and strengthening the construction of the teaching staff, so as to further promote the high-quality development of open education.
