Abstract: ObjectiveTo explore the application effect of TWT teaching mode in the standardized training of new undergraduate nurses in ICU. Methodsa total of 68 newly admitted undergraduate nurses in ICU from July 2017 to July 2020 were randomly divided into experimental group (34) and control group (34) according to the enrollment sequence. The experimental group adopted the TWT teaching training mode, and the control group adopted the traditional training mode. Six months later, the two groups of nurses were assessed in nursing theory, operation skills, comprehensive ability, critical thinking ability and other aspects, and the results were statistically analyzed. ResultsAfter the comparison of the two teaching modes, the scores of nurses in experimental group were significantly higher than those in control group in terms of academic performance, comprehensive ability and critical thinking ability (P < 0.05). ConclusionThe application effect of TWT teaching mode in the standardized training of new undergraduate nurses in ICU is significant, which can improve their learning initiative, self-consciousness and critical thinking ability. It is worth popularizing and applying in the standardized training of new undergraduate nurses.
