College English Linguistics Teaching Practice Based on the Cultivation of Applied Talents

Abstract: English is a language subject set up in China's higher education, which plays a positive role in the cultivation of students' English language skills. From the perspective of applied talent training, colleges and universities are required not only to consolidate the students' professional theoretical foundation, but also to strengthen the cultivation of students' professional knowledge application and practical ability. This should also be reflected in the teaching of English Linguistics in colleges and universities, taking students' English language practical ability as an important teaching goal. However, according to the current situation of English linguistics teaching in colleges and universities, there are still many problems, which seriously affect the development of students' English language practice ability. In view of this, this paper briefly analyzes how to carry out efficient English linguistics teaching activities from the perspective of applied talent training.
