The Influence of Health Education Based on MCAT Mode to the Cognition Behavior of Breast Cancer Screening among Vocational Nursing Students

Abstract: Objective To explore the influence of health education based on MCAT mode to enhance the cognition and behavior of breast cancer screening among female students in medical occupation colleges, and to provide reference for teaching and breast cancer screening. Methods A total of 126 vocational nursing students were randomly divided into the study group and the control group, 63 in each group. According to the results of the questionnaire survey on the status quo of breast cancer screening among nursing students, the contents of health education related to knowledge and skills were designed. The control group was given routine health education. The study group was divided into four steps based on the MCAT mode and health education was conducted. 3 months after health education, a questionnaire survey was conducted. The cognition and behavior status of breast cancer screening among the two groups were compared. Results The cognition and behavior evaluation of breast cancer screening after health education in the study group were higher than those in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant. Conclusion Health education based on MCAT mode can effectively improve the cognition level of breast cancer screening for nursing students, and promote the implementation of breast cancer screening behavior, which is worthy of popularization and application.
