Abstract: The Red Culture is the achievement of the spiritual civilization created by the people under the leadership of the Communist Party of China in the process of revolution, construction and reform. It is an important embodiment and theoretical achievement of Marxism in China.In the process of inheriting "Red Gene" and promoting "Red Culture", ideological and political courses in colleges and universities will play a crucial role. The inheritance of red culture not only requires ideological and political courses, but also promotes ideological and political education in colleges and universities. The two sides are supplemented each other. Based on the characteristics of Red Culture advancing with The Times, combining with the characteristics of the current era and college students, the author abandons the problems existing in the combination of Red Culture and ideological and political courses in colleges and universities, and explores the combination of Red Culture and ideological and political courses in colleges and universities in the new era.
