Research and Practice of Surveying and Mapping Specialty Teaching Reform Driven by Vocational Skills Competition

Abstract: Vocational skills competition is a platform to test students' skill level and teachers' teaching quality, which can achieve the effect of promoting teaching, learning, training and industry through competition. It is one of the important ways for vocational colleges to achieve the goal of cultivating technical and skilled talents. Taking the engineering surveying technical skills competition of surveying and mapping major in our college as an example, this paper explores the teaching reform measures in teaching team, practical training facilities, course teaching and evaluation methods driven by the vocational skills competition, which further improves the effective role of the skills competition in the improving the quality of running vocational colleges.
