Teaching Reform and Exploration of Local Applied Undergraduate Courses under the Background of New Engineering——Take Paleontology and Geohistory as an Example

Abstract: Based on the school running mode of local application-oriented undergraduate under the background of new engineering, this paper draws on the advanced teaching experience of paleontology and geohistory in similar domestic colleges and universities, and based on the actual positioning of our school, combs the main problems existing in the teaching of paleontology and geohistory, and puts forward that to improve the teaching of the course, it is necessary to integrate the actual positioning, adjust the content, clarify the key points, strengthen the practical education skills, and improve the teaching quality to explore the five aspects of teaching methods to stimulate interest and improve the ability of examination, we are committed to improving the quality of teaching, and strive to cultivate high-quality application-oriented undergraduate talents to meet the needs of local economic construction and national economic construction in the new era.
