On the Positive Role of Foreign Language Competition in the Professional Development of Foreign Language Teachers and the Training of International Foreign Language Talents in the New Era

Abstract: Young teachers are the main force of foreign language teaching in Colleges and universities. The foreign language teaching level of young teachers is of great significance to the cultivation of high-level foreign language professionals. This paper makes an in-depth study on the problems in foreign language teaching of young teachers reflected in the competition and the causes of the problems. From the perspective of holding foreign language competitions, this paper studies the problems and causes of the professional development of foreign language teachers in Colleges and universities, and puts forward suggestions and measures according to the existing problems. In addition, the importance of holding foreign language competitions for the cultivation of high-level foreign language talents has been deeply studied.
