Abstract: With the development of society, the requirements of the Ministry of education for the ideological and political education work in Colleges and universities continue to improve. In the current social situation, a variety of ideological trends have emerged, which have a certain impact on college students. It is necessary for colleges and universities to continuously strengthen ideological and political education and guide students positively. College counselors are a very important part of ideological and political education in colleges and universities. As a group directly facing individual college students, college counselors can more directly find the ideological changes of students, and can also adjust the corresponding ideological and political education countermeasures according to the changes of each student. This paper will start from the current ideological and political education environment faced by colleges and universities, the characteristics of college students, to explore how to do a good job in Ideological and political education of college students.
