Discussion on the Education Mode of College Students' Discipline Competition Supported by National Scientific Research Projects——Taking the Major of Surveying and Mapping Geographic Information in Local Universities as an Example

Abstract: Discipline competition has become one of the important ways to cultivate innovative and high-level engineering talents. It also conducive to improving students' innovation ability and comprehensive practical ability. The current discipline competition has higher requirements on students, mainly including thought of scientific research and ability of practice. However, national scientific research projects provide a valuable platform for the cultivation of competitors,with its strong frontier nature, relatively complete exploration routes and application requirements of comprehensive skills. This paper analyzes the problems existing in the traditional competition education mode. Taking the major of surveying and mapping geographic information in local universities as an example, this paper discusses the education mode of discipline competition for college students supported by national scientific research projects. This paper expounds the advantages and implementation necessity of the model from three aspects: connotation, architecture and implementation effect.
