Abstract: From the perspective of positive psychology, this study explores which positive personality traits are intrinsically related to entrepreneurial intention. 353 college students from a university in Guizhou were investigated by using the Chinese version of big five personality scale, self-esteem scale and college students' entrepreneurial intention questionnaire. The results show that: the entrepreneurial intention of male students is significantly higher than that of female students, and that of science and engineering students is significantly higher than that of liberal arts students. Emotional stability, openness and extroversion are significantly positively correlated with entrepreneurial intention. Extroversion and openness enter the regression equation and positively predict entrepreneurial intention. Conclusion: cultivating the positive personality quality of college students is one of the important ways to improve the entrepreneurial intention of college students.
