Abstract: Affected by the summative assessment, the assessment model for college English reading is relatively simple, putting more emphasis on the test results. However, this static assessment model ignores the dynamic assessment of students' learning potential, which is not conducive to the development of their reading abilities. Based on Vygotsky's sociocultural theory and the latest research on assessment theories, a dynamic assessment model for college English reading was proposed, aiming to improve students' reading abilities.
