Study on the Current Situation and Countermeasures of ESP Teaching Mode in Colleges under the Background of New Engineering Education

Abstract: As a basic compulsory course in Colleges and universities, College English needs to follow the new concept of new engineering construction to carry out corresponding teaching reform and innovation, and strive to achieve interdisciplinary integration in practical teaching, which highlights the necessity of implementing ESP teaching reform in College English Curriculum under the background of new engineering. However, there are many problems in the process of ESP teaching in Colleges and universities. Only by relying on high-level ESP teachers with language ability and professional knowledge, detailed and effective teaching content, diversified teaching methods and more perfect teaching evaluation system, can we cultivate high-quality compound, applied and innovative new engineering talents to meet the needs of social development.
