Abstract: The audio-visual method is derived from the direct method and the audio-lingual method. The teaching is based on oral language, dialogue as the teaching materials and Closely integrated with the situation. It is compatible with the emphasis of modern foreign language teaching which is focusing on communicate. On the basis of previous researches on audio-visual method theories, and considering the characteristics of the Chinese Indonesian learners, this article puts forward the application of audio-visual method in the elementary-stage Indonesian teaching. This article gives suggestions on the application of audiovisual method, and provides a reference for the elementary-stage Indonesian teaching.
