Abstract: The rapid development of global economic integration makes all walks of life put forward higher requirements for the English ability of practitioners. As the cradle of talent training, higher vocational colleges should fully realize the important mission they shoulder, and vigorously implement the Reform of English teaching mode based on the perspective of cultivating students' vocational ability. This paper mainly analyzes the necessity, difficulties and corresponding reform measures of English teaching mode reform in higher vocational colleges from the perspective of vocational ability cultivation, hoping to provide references for the development of teaching reform and achieve the goal of cultivating interdisciplinary talents.
