Causes of Job Burnout of Office Staff in University Departments and Mitigation Strategies

Abstract: More and more office staff in university departments show job burnout. From the perspective of university management and office staff themselves in university departments, the cause of job burnout include four aspects: high work pressure and complicated work content; insufficient attention paid to the construction of administrative team of department office; imperfect of evaluation system; lack of core competence and self adjustment ability for individuals. In order to solve the problem of job burnout, and be capable to improve the efficiency and service level of the administrative work of university departments, four strategies are put forward: to promote the information construction and improve the administrative efficiency; to strengthen the construction of administrative team in department office; to build a more scientific and reasonable evaluation system; to pay attention to self adjustment and learning improvement.
