Abstract: China College Students’"Internet plus" Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition has become one of the most important competition of this kind in China. The projects in the competition with their high scientific and technological contents, great market potential, good social benefits, can combine new generation information technology with every field of economic society, which will promote the vigorous development of new technologies, new products, new forms of business and new models. Takes "Internet plus" Competition of Guangdong University of Technology as an example, and by analyzing the characters of projects, combining with competition organization and items cultivation, establishing a cultivation system with multiple dimension throughout the whole process, this paper explores the way for universities to carry out the cultivation of competition projects under the background of new technology, thus to truly realize the purpose of "promoting learning, teaching and innovation through competition", and to contribute to the cultivation of innovative and entrepreneurial talents in new technology.
