An Initial Suggestion of a Globally Transferable Credit System for Higher Education

Abstract: With reference to the credit transfer system for European higher education integration and the Shanghai Credit Bank System of China, this article is to propose a Global Credit Transfer System that unifies the format of recording and reporting the learning achievement standards or the credits earned of students of higher education, with credit storage, balance and transfer management and endorsement services of a credit banking system, for meeting the higher education development in our age of globalization as well as the free mobility need of students (or talents) on a global level.
