Abstract: With the development of science and technology, readers' needs are increasingly diversified. A single medium cannot meet the requirements of information dissemination and social value, books present a multimedia-integrated reading experience. Looking back at history, the media change throughout the development of books, the integrated study of multi-media book design is helpful to improve the artistic quality and appeal of book. From the perspective of "the connotation of medium", this paper discusses from two aspects: "media and materials" and "media and form", combined with the teaching experience in recent years, this paper expounds the concept analysis, teaching concept, teaching cases and teaching experience, so as to realize the integrated research of multi-media book design course.
