A Strategy Study of Traditional Chinese Culture Infiltration in College English Teaching

Abstract: Currently in the process of college English teaching, teachers always tend to teach the target language culture and ignore the introduction of mother tongue culture. As a result, foreign language learners cannot express Chinese culture in English well, or even how to express it. This article explores the current situation, necessity and puts forward some strategies to infiltrate traditional Chinese culture in college English teaching from the perspective of cross-cultural teaching so that majority of students get the ability to express Chinese culture in English as well as students' awareness of different cultures and improve their intercultural communication skills.
