Abstract: This research analyzes the development of English for Specific Purposes (ESP) majors in applied undergraduate colleges in Sichuan Province and the status quo of the collaboration mechanism between universities and enterprises in ESP talent cultivation and points out the shortcomings. According to the characteristics of ESP talent cultivation, the research focuses on exploring the development path of the school-enterprise collaboration mechanism for ESP talent training which is in line with Sichuan's provincial economic development characteristics and enterprise characteristics, and proposing the mechanism innovation in school-enterprise cooperation to enhance the teaching quality of ESP talent cultivation in applied undergraduate colleges in Sichuan Province as well as improving the practical skills and professional qualities of the ESP talents in Sichuan's applied undergraduate colleges, which has a guiding significance for the school-enterprise collaborative innovation of ESP talent cultivation.
